HUMMINGBIRD uses the National Curriculum for England due to the strong framework it offers for progression through each learning area. Some areas of curriculum content are enhanced to ensure learning is grounded in a practical knowledge of the children’s own surroundings.

The Indicators

The two biggest indicators of post-school success are the rigour of the curriculum and the caliber of the teaching. In this school, children will benefit from a clear progression through concepts in a spiraling curriculum with understanding and application at its core, assessment of individual needs, high expectations in both academic standards and in terms of the content of their character.

Hummingbird International School also draws on the deep knowledge of child development and the rich experience of curriculum development and teaching methods held by the Leadership team, to ensure each child optimizes their learning. The school also commits to staying abreast of developments through continuing professional development (CPD) in the education sphere, applying new knowledge, skills and methodology within the framework of best practice.

HUMMINGBIRD is a co-ed, non-selective school. We accept children from all faiths and our moral compass is established on biblical principles.
